Perfecting DTF Transfers at Home with an Iron
What You’ll Need
- A flat, stable ironing surface
- A standard household iron with NO steam
- Your Iris DTF transfer and a clean garment
- Parchment paper or a Teflon sheet for protection
Step-by-Step Ironing Instructions
Use your home iron like a pro with these easy steps.

Step 1
Position the Transfer
Lay the DTF film on your garment, design facing up. Cover with parchment paper or a Teflon sheet to protect both your iron and the transfer.

Step 2
Start Pressing
With your iron on its highest setting, press down firmly on one small area at a time. Hold each section for 20–25 seconds—do not slide.

Step 3
Peel the Film
Start from a corner and slowly peel back. If any part lifts, cover again and press for another 10 seconds with firm pressure.

Step 4
Finishing Press
For extra durability and softness, place the parchment back and press again for 10 seconds.
